The 2014 season in the MotoGP class, the pinnacle of the World Motorcycle Speed Championship grand prix circuit, was a dream year for the official Repsol Honda team, which raced the RC213V. Its young superstar Marc Marquez won 13 of the year’s 18 races, including an astonishing 10 in a row to start the season and lead the team to the teams’, constructors’ and riders’ championships. The 2014 version of the RC213V featured a number of tweaks that ensured it was the best in the class, including a modified air intake on the front fairing, aerodynamic modifications to the fairings and changes to the aluminium twin-tube chassis. Further updates were made to the V4’s pneumatic valves, Honda’s unique seamless transmission and electronics package.
