This robust and versatile vehicle was born in 1938 on the banks of the Thames, at the already established Dagenham factory. Designed as a van or light commercial vehicle with a distinctive look, it was influenced by the need for practicality and economy, as well as a payload capacity of around 500 kg.
The engine was located next to the driver, slightly offset to the right, which maximized cargo space. It was a small, robust, 1175cc, 30hp four-cylinder engine, designed to last a lifetime, not for high speeds. It didn’t exceed 60 km/h.
Its exterior is quite charming for a cargo vehicle. Compact, understated, and robust. It features a beautiful and slender grille that’s very attractive. Its prominent fenders and wide headlights complete a functional and user-friendly design for a work truck.
It was seen attending various motor-related sporting events, for example as a service and support vehicle for the Cooper Car Company racing team in the late 1950s.
Limited and numbered edition of 200 units.
