BUGATTI T57S – nº 14 – ACF 1937 IN MONTHLERY – JEAN BUGATTI
1/32 scale reproduction of the Bugatti T57S 45 from the ACF Grand Prix that took place in Monthléry in 1937. It is equipped with a 12 V engine to drive on a slot racing circuit.
It is the story of a car, specially prepared for a race and that did not participate despite the good results of the tests and that was never seen again. But the model is so atypical and its history unique that it was worth taking a closer look.
We decided to offer car number 14 driven by Jean Bugatti who brings the car to the circuit from the factory. It now appears that the car suffered a minor traffic accident during the trip. And so he returned to the factory as is.
Car number 16 is driven by Jean-Pierre Wimille. He probably would have been in front had he participated in the event since he beat Raymond Sommer, the Sanglier des Ardennes, by 4 seconds in practice on Saturday.
